South Korean subcontractors indicted for bid rigging on US military contracts

( May 9, 2025, 03:38 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Two South Korean subcontractors and 12 individuals have been indicted without detention for rigging bids on 25.5 billion won ($18 million) worth of subcontract work from 2019 to 2023 at US military bases in South Korea, including maintenance work in military hospitals and supply contracts for US Forces Korea, according to the the Korea Prosecution Service. The KPS said the investigation began in cooperation with the US Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division under a memorandum of understanding for joint enforcement of criminal cartel cases.The statement, in Korean, is attached....
