Beevers must show other sellers agreed to Beemster exclusivity, EU court says

By Nicholas Hirst ( May 8, 2025, 11:54 GMT | Insight) -- EU judges said today that Beevers Kaas has to show that Cono — its supplier of Beemster cheese — had agreed at least tacitly with its other customers to reserve Belgium for Beevers Kaas if it is to block others from selling into that country. The outcome could be important for the many brands and distributors that have exclusive supply arrangements. For Beevers Kaas, a vendor of Beemster cheese, in order to block rivals from selling in Belgium, Beevers and its supplier Cono must show that those rivals agreed to that exclusivity, according to the EU’s top court. ...
