WIPO’s PATENTSCOPE updated with ETSI, ITU, IEEE essentiality declarations
( May 6, 2025, 10:41 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The World Intellectual Property Office’s PATENTSCOPE global patent database now includes information on essentiality declarations for over 205,000 patents made to the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI), the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Standards Association (IEEE SA) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). PATENTSCOPE users can search specifically for standard essential patent declarations, or browse a “Declared SEP” tab.
