Civil society, academia want voice in shaping EU’s ‘encryption roadmap’

The organizations warn that the plans for access to data by law-enforcement authorities "risks undermining the exercise of fundamental rights and our collective cybersecurity," and would create "vulnerabilities that malicious actors and repressive governments can exploit," the letter says.
