Apple carves US out of App Store anti-steering rules

( May 2, 2025, 20:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Apple has updated its App Store rules to exclude prohibitions on buttons, external links, or other calls to action in apps in the United States. "Developers may apply for entitlements to provide a link in their app to a website the developer owns or maintains responsibility for in order to purchase digital content or services," Apple's App Review Guidelines state. "These entitlements are not required for developers to include buttons, external links, or others calls to action in their United States storefront apps."See attached file....
