NSO CEO faces tough examination in US court from WhatsApp over Pegasus software

But Shohat was forced to weather a tough cross-examination from WhatsApp's lawyers, who pushed him to answer whether NSO's "Pegasus" surveillance software had hurt surveillance targets around the world. NSO Group Technologies is not a “hacking company,” does not build spyware, and never intended to harm WhatsApp by using the global messaging app as a covert delivery system for its Pegasus surveillance software, NSO’s chief executive told a federal jury today....
