US homeland security chief aims to 'put CISA back on mission'

Speaking at a major cybersecurity conference in San Francisco, Noem said the Trump administration plans to refocus CISA on its mandate to secure critical infrastructure, especially amid growing threats from China. She outlined plans to reassess the agency’s operations, potentially reduce staff, and realign its resources. The nation’s lead cybersecurity regulator has lost its way and must be repurposed to stop being a “Ministry of Truth” on elections and public health and return to “being a cybersecurity agency,” the top US homeland security official said today....
