Use your digital-currency registration or lose it, Australian watchdog tells DCEs

In a statement, the Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre said it was concerned that many of the 427 registered DCEs were inactive while still being registered. Austrac CEO Brendan Thomas warned that inactive businesses that have offered cryptocurrency-exchange services were vulnerable to being bought and co-opted by criminals, due to the credibility offered by their Austrac registration.The full Austrac statement follows: ...
