Offshore wind supply-chain funding announced by UK government

( April 24, 2025, 16:10 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Great British Energy, a publicly-owned clean energy company, will invest 300 million pounds (around $400 million) in new domestic supply chains for offshore wind components, Prime Minister Keir Starmer has said. The move, announced at the Summit on the Future of Energy Security today, is expected to mobilize additional private investments, de-risk clean energy projects and create thousands of jobs.
