Nokia’s global data transfer rules approved by Finnish data watchdog

( April 25, 2025, 08:38 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Finland’s Data Protection Ombudsman has approved Nokia’s Binding Corporate Rules for international data transfers — the first such approval in Finland. The BCRs allow Nokia to securely transfer personal data within its group across borders outside the EU and EEA. Developed with other EU authorities and endorsed by the European Data Protection Board, the rules include legal safeguards, audit processes and employee training.
