Japan's power companies warned in JFTC report not to favor retail arms

The Japan Fair Trade Commission found that some companies failed to specify the prices for non-fossil certificates — introduced to reduce carbon emissions — on the electricity bills sent to their retail units or affiliates. New power retailers complained that they might be charged higher fees than their affiliated counterparts, prompting the JFTC to call for greater pricing transparency.
