Huawei wins patent fight after Indian court slams 'wasteful' POA rejection

The Calcutta High Court sharply rebuked the Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trademarks for refusing Huawei's application for technology that reduces power consumption in terminal paging due to an issue with their agent's general power of attorney. Calcutta High Court Judge Ravi Krishan Kapur remanded the case for a fresh hearing on the patent's merits and conclusion within four months.
