US demand letters by China-based trademark owner, counsel, not defamatory

He recommended dismissal of Jay Litvack’s defamation counterclaim against his former business partners and that Litvack’s related $5 million punitive damage request be stricken.Demand letters by the principals for China’s Styleline Studios International and their legal counsel aren't actionable as defamation, US Magistrate Judge James M. Wicks of the Eastern District of New York found yesterday....
