US trade court denies injunction request in Trump tariff lawsuit

( April 22, 2025, 23:44 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex summary: The US Court of International Trade denied a temporary injunction request from five American small businesses requesting an immediate halt to President Donald Trump's sweeping tariffs. CIT Judges Timothy Reif, Jane Restani and Gary Katzmann said the plaintiffs "have not clearly shown a likelihood that immediate and irreparable harm would occur" before the case is heard before the court. The small businesses are contesting Trump's use of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act to impose global tariffs.See attached file....
