Counterfeit sneaker influencer hit with trademark infringement at summary judgment

( April 21, 2025, 22:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A Central District of California judge ruled on a motion for summary judgment in favor of Nike in its trademark infringement suit against a counterfeit sneaker influencer. Judge Virginia Hernandez Covington granted the motion in part as to Nike's claims of direct infringement and counterfeiting, writing that Eben Fox used social media platforms to attempt to sell counterfeit sneakers. She denied the motion as to Fox's conduct promoting Chinese shipping agents who sell counterfeits, leaving the issue to a jury.See the order attached....
