UnitedHealth-Amedisys case will be referred to mediation magistrate, US judge says

( February 21, 2025, 15:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The UnitedHealth-Amedisys merger challenge by the US Department of Justice's Antitrust Division and various state enforcers will be referred "to a magistrate judge to conduct a settlement conference in August 2025," US District Judge James Bredar announced in a schedule and case management order. Bredar said that the parties had “engaged in good-faith settlement negotiations, but despite their efforts, have not been able to resolve this matter to date.”  See attached file....
