Hyundai Motor, POSCO partner on $5.8 billion Louisiana steel mill project

The partnership involves POSCO investing in Hyundai's $5.8 billion Louisiana steel mill project, which will produce 2.7 million tons of automotive steel sheets annually with reduced carbon emissions. Both companies will collaborate on securing stable supply chains for critical battery materials, with Hyundai targeting annual sales of 3.26 million electric vehicles by 2030 and POSCO leveraging its lithium resources and battery material production capabilities.
