Meta says US FTC trial means advertisers' US antitrust claims must be delayed

( April 17, 2025, 18:27 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Meta Platforms told a California federal judge that its trial defense against the US Federal Trade Commission's claims over Instagram and WhatsApp require the court delay proceedings like expert testimony. Meta's expert, Catherine Tucker, is expected to testify at that trial, and will need to reschedule her testimony to meet that obligation, the letter filed to the US Northern District of California said. Trial over the advertisers' antitrust claims is scheduled to begin in June, and Meta has "sought the Court's guidance as to whether it intended to proceed on that date in view of the posture of the case," Meta said.See attached document:...
