South Korea to spend $1.3 billion more on AI this year

The Ministry of Science and ICT plans to use the additional funding to purchase 10,000 high-end GPUs from abroad, rent 2,600 GPUs from the domestic private sector, support domestic developers of AI semiconductors such as neural-processing units and related software, increase an investment fund for AI startups, and expand talent-attraction programs.
