UPC rejects Kodak, Barco bids to pause enforcement orders pending appeals

By Inbar Preiss ( April 17, 2025, 17:04 GMT | Insight) -- The Unified Patent Court's appellate judge has dismissed Kodak’s request to suspend a Mannheim injunction banning the sale of its Sonora XTRA-3 plates in Germany, ruling there were no errors in the earlier decision favoring Fujifilm. Kodak must comply with the injunction, which includes destruction, recall and damages payments. The Court of Appeal also rejected Barco’s similar request to halt a cost order in a separate dispute with Yealink, finding no exceptional circumstances.Kodak has lost its bid to pause an injunction ordered by the Unified Patent Court at the start of month that would prohibit the American photography and film company from supplying, offering or storing its Sonora XTRA-3 plates in Germany....
