Barco denied suspensive effect of UPC costs order on appeal

( April 17, 2025, 12:54 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Unified Patent Court's appellate judges have rejected Belgian technology company Barco’s request to suspend the effect of a costs order issued by the Brussels Local Division. The decision stems from a case brought by Barco against Chinese competitor Yealink over the alleged infringement of its European patent 3,732,827 related to web conferencing systems. In its March 21 decision, the Brussels Local Division dismissed Barco’s application for provisional measures for lack of urgency and ordered Barco to bear Yealink’s legal costs up to 112,000 euros.See UPC order attached....
