At a conference* today, experts from companies developing AI tools for manufacturers urged South Korea to focus policy resources on maximizing AI benefits to enhance its competitive edge in manufacturing. “The US is all out to bring manufacturing back home, and I think this well demonstrates the ever-growing importance of advanced manufacturing capabilities,” Jang Young-jae, founder and CEO of Daim Research, told the conference on industrial AI use. Jang pointed out that the age of manufacturing has not passed and that its importance is growing in terms of national competitiveness.
