Australian regulator may approve sustainable-finance collaboration with conditions

( April 17, 2025, 05:53 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Australia’s competition regulator has signaled it may approve, with conditions, a not-for-profit organization’s request to collaborate with industry participants on sustainable-finance initiatives. In a statement announcing the release of a draft decision, the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission said that the Australian Sustainable Finance Institute is seeking authorization for itself, its members and other industry participants to exchange information to improve “the integration of natural capital data into financial decision-making.” It added that the collaboration could boost investment in environmental-preservation projects.
