US judge dismisses Roblox's counterclaims against third-party gambling site

( April 17, 2025, 00:07 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A US federal judge today dismissed with leave to amend Roblox's Computer Fraud and Abuse Act and trespass to chattels claims against a third party gambling-style site run by Based Plate that allegedly used Roblox's branding and digital currency (Robux) without permission to run a "social casino" operation. However, Roblox has shown that Based Plate "induced users to violate the terms of service and Roblox suffered damage because it had to put in measures to detect and block Based Plate’s bots."A see attached ruling....
