Microsoft defendants advocate in US for dismissal from Musk's OpenAI lawsuit

( April 16, 2025, 19:08 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Microsoft's Deannah Templeton and LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman submitted a supplemental reply today in support of their request to be dismissed from Elon Musk's sprawling lawsuit targeting OpenAI. Templeton and Hoffman wrote that a California federal judge already rejected Musk's claim that they violated Section 8 of the Clayton Act, which prohibits the same person from serving simultaneously as an officer or director of two competing corporations. The defendants said the judge "dismissed Count 16 on the basis that Plaintiffs lack standing because there was no board interlock when the [first amended complaint] was filed."Court document attached. ...
