Simplifying telecom rules doesn’t mean deregulation, Berec chair says

Orange, Vodafone, Telefónica and Deutsche Telekom are urging the commission to deregulate EU telecom rules this year, arguing that outdated regulations have impeded their ability to merge in national markets and attract investment that’s vital to upgrade networks. “Simplification is not deregulation.
