Carina Ventures moves to compel Agri Stats data in US turkey price-fixing case

( April 14, 2025, 12:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Carina Ventures has filed a motion to compel discovery from turkey suppliers over the use of defendant price benchmarking service Agri Stats in a related case. In the related action, a US judge denied pork producer defendants' motion for summary judgement after it found their use of Agri Stats was highly suspicious and supported the inference of a conspiracy, Carina said. Agri Stats developed yield-evaluation programs for turkey plants that drew on its experience in other proteins, and discovery into its reports is relevant because the defendants adapted their "turkey collusion playbook" from related broiler chicken and pork schemes, Carina said in its filing to the Northern District of Illinois.See attached document:...
