Snowflake US data-breach litigation consolidated, transferred to Montana district

( October 8, 2024, 19:24 GMT | Official Statement) -- A US Judicial Panel on Multi-District Litigation consolidated 30 actions related to a Snowflake data breach and transferred the litigation to the District of Montana, finding “a single multi-defendant MDL provides the most efficient vehicle for coordinating the overlapping pretrial proceedings. Centralization will eliminate duplicative discovery; prevent inconsistent pretrial rulings, particularly with respect to class certification; and conserve the resources of the parties, their counsel, and the judiciary.” See attached transfer order....
