US FTC moves to transfer suit over HSR form from Texas to DC
( April 11, 2025, 21:22 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US Federal Trade Commission filed a motion to either change venue or dismiss a lawsuit filed over a rule that updated the Hart-Scott Rodino premerger notification form. The Chamber of Commerce and others filed a lawsuit claiming the HSR form rule violates the Administrative Procedure Act. The suit was filed in the Eastern District of Texas, Tyler Division, where one of the plaintiffs — Longview Chamber of Commerce — resides. The FTC says the venue is improper and the case should be transferred to the District of Columbia or, in the alternative, be dismissed.See attached file....
