US judges probe whether NSO spyware deployed through Apple servers

The plaintiffs argue the case should be heard in California, in part due to NSO's use of Apple servers there. While two judges with the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit expressed concerns about the decision, a third seemed more supportive. The case involves complex jurisdictional issues and the role of US-based servers. An apparently divided trio of federal appellate judges questioned today whether a district court judge properly dismissed a suit against NSO Group Technologies for using its Pegasus spyware on the Apple phones of journalists in El Salvador....
