Congressional Republicans unveil US Ivy League antitrust investigation

( April 10, 2025, 15:40 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Harvard University, Columbia University, Yale University and five other elite academic institutions known as the Ivy League appear to be collectively raising tuition prices, offering discriminatory financial aid packages and using shared algorithms, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley and House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan said in letters to the schools. "There are significant concerns that Ivy League member institutions’ coordinated practices and alleged collusion violate federal antitrust law, and that these institutions continue to benefit from prior collusion, despite Congress sunsetting their antitrust exemption in 2022," the Republicans said.Statement follows....
