South Korea launches initiative to develop own AI-applied humanoid ecosystem

( April 10, 2025, 08:44 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: South Korea launched an initiative today aimed at establishing a comprehensive ecosystem encompassing the development, production and deployment of AI-applied humanoid robots and related components. The K-Humanoid Alliance includes about 40 academic institutes and companies, as well as individual experts in related fields such as robot manufacturing and artificial intelligence chip and software development. The alliance also includes major customers of humanoid robots, such as shipbuilding firms, so that developers and manufacturers can continuously exchange information with end users, according to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
