New Stanford AI index suggests progress, concerns in development of genAI

A new Stanford University report on generative AI notes a “staggering increase” in problematic uses such as deepfakes that could spur regulation, but also a trend of decreasing costs and increasing quality and accessibility that could reduce competition concerns around the industry....
