OpenAI motion for summary judgment in defamation case should be denied, Georgia radio host says

( January 6, 2025, 21:53 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Georgia radio host Mark Walters argued there are sufficient facts to prove his defamation claim against OpenAI, and the artificial intelligence company is not entitled to judgment as a matter of law, according to an opposition brief. The "defamatory statements" at issue in the case "clearly imputed crimes (fraud, embezzlement, falsifying accounting records)," Walters said. "They also were in reference to Walters’ (falsely reported) trade, office or profession.
