China completes 298 data-export security assessments by March, regulator says

( April 9, 2025, 09:04 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: China’s Cyberspace Administration disclosed that it has completed 298 data-export security assessment projects as of March this year, with 44 of the projects involving important data. Among the 44 important data submissions, seven failed the assessment, resulting in a failure rate of 15.9 percent. If viewed in terms of important data items, the 44 projects involve 509 items, of which 325 items were approved for export after assessment, accounting for 63.9 percent of the total submitted important data items.
