Driscoll's loses US plant patent suit over strawberries at summary judgment

( April 8, 2025, 19:09 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: An Eastern District of California judge has granted summary judgment against Driscoll's in its patent infringement suit with California Berry Cultivars, holding that plant crossbreeding that occurs outside the US is not actionable under the Plant Patent Act.
