UK to create secure single access to national-scale health research datasets

From late 2026, the service will be a single, secure access point for national-scale datasets. The Cambridgeshire-based service will help speed up clinical trials planning via standardization across NHS organizations. The 600-million-pound investment comes from the government and the Wellcome Trust, a charity focused on health research.
