Polish fitness club deal wins conditional merger approval

( April 7, 2025, 13:46 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: ABC Medicover Holdings has received clearance from the Polish antitrust authority to acquire control of sixteen companies of the CityFit group, the watchdog said today. But the approval is conditional on the sale of two clubs in Bielsko-Biała and Gliwice where the tie-up could hurt competition. Medicover runs more than 150 clubs under several brands such as Just Gym, McFit or Platinium Fitness. The CityFit group owns more than twenty sports and leisure facilities under the CityFit and CityFit Blue brands.Statement follows (in Polish). ...
