South Korea's AI decrees to have minimum regulations, minister reaffirms

Yoo Sang-im, Minister of Science and ICT, also urged the main political parties to adopt a supplementary budget as quickly as possible to fund the purchase of GPUs, while warning that further delays could risk the country falling further behind in the global race to develop AI. South Korea’s science minister reaffirmed the government’s intention to keep restrictive measures to a minimum in the subordinate-legislation for the country's basic artificial intelligence law, while disclosing that his ministry plans to hold meetings with and receive opinions from various stakeholders this week....
