Bimbo-Wickbold queried over sales data in Brazilian deal review

( April 4, 2025, 20:27 GMT | Official Statement) -- The Brazilian competition authority has formally asked Bimbo and Wickbold to disclose detailed 2023 sales figures and competitive market data as part of its review of Bimbo’s proposed acquisition of six Wickbold subsidiaries. The authority asked for revenue and volume breakdowns across key product categories—including traditional, integral, and multigrain industrial breads — along with lists of competing brands in each segment, aiming to assess potential market concentration risks.
