Fujifilm wins UPC injunction in Germany against Kodak, second patent revoked

The Mannheim Local Division revoked Fujifilm's second patent, siding with Kodak's argument on lack of inventive step. Both decisions also separated the UK-related claims, following the EU Court of Justice's recent BSH Hausgeräte v Electrolux decision, which clarified the UPC's jurisdiction over infringement but not validity for non-EU European Patent Convention member states like the UK.Fujifilm received an injunction from the EU's Unified Patent Court yesterday against US competitor Kodak, which was found to infringe on the Japanese company’s patent protecting an invention relating to printing plates that reduce chemical processing....
