China to restart EV anti-subsidy talks with EU, extend time for brandy anti-dumping case

( April 3, 2025, 09:52 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: China and the European Union agreed to promptly restart negotiations on the price commitment regarding the electric vehicle anti-subsidy case, the Ministry of Commerce said at a regular press conference. Mofcom said the initiative aims to foster a favorable environment for investment and industrial cooperation between Chinese and European companies. In addition, at the request of the European side, China has decided to extend the investigation period for the brandy anti-dumping case in accordance with the law, Mofcom said. These agreements were reached during a recent meeting between Chinese commerce minister Wang Wentao and the European Commission's Trade and Economic Security Commissioner Maroš Šefčovič.
