Slater says US DOJ doesn’t want inappropriate consent decrees in merger cases

Slater said the DOJ is maintaining “robust antitrust enforcement” that has been the standard for the past eight years, under both President Donald Trump’s first term and Joe Biden’s presidency.The US Department of Justice is open to consent decrees in merger cases, but will not accept “bullshit consent decrees,” Assistant Attorney General for the Antitrust Division Abigail Slater said at an event* today....
