Texas judge finds jurisdiction over Frand breach counterclaim against ASUSTeK

US District Judge J. Rodney Gilstrap this week adopted in full a magistrate judge’s findings from last month that the Frand counterclaims are “clearly tied to the common nucleus of facts with the infringement case” by ASUS Technology Licensing, Celerity IP and Innovative Sonic Limited.Taiwan’s ASUSTeK Computer has failed to shake allegations it violated the European Telecommunications Standards Institute IPR policy....
