Fujifilm’s patent upheld by UPC, proceedings for UK split

( April 2, 2025, 13:14 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Fujifilm’s patent, EP 3,511,174 relating to lithographic printing plate precursors, was upheld by the Unified Patent Court. Fujifilm alleged Kodak's Sonara XTRA-3 plates infringed their patent. Kodak counterclaimed for revocation of the patent. The court today upheld the validity of Fujifilm's patent as judges found Kodak did not provide sufficient evidence to establish prior use or obviousness. Another order from the Mannheim Local Division separated proceedings related to the UK national part of the patent.See court documents attached....
