Race to be EU institutions' privacy watchdog nears end

The finalists to be chief data protection regulator for the EU institutions for the next five years are the incumbent, Wojciech Wiewiórowski, and Bruno Gencarelli, previously in the cabinet of former EU justice chief Didier Reynders. The post of data protection regulator for the EU institutions could now be days from being decided, with EU governments and lawmakers both asked this week to agree to hold votes next Tuesday. ...
