Meta says competitors should have to testify in US FTC case

( March 31, 2025, 23:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Meta Platforms told a US federal judge that although TikTok, Google, Apple and other competitors would be happy if the US Federal Trade Commission succeeded in its antitrust case against Meta, they have no good reason to avoid coming before the court and explaining the scope of competition in this market, which would undermine the case. Meta opposed a motion to quash subpoenas, saying that the court properly exercised its authority to authorize nationwide subpoena service because the case arises under the Sherman Act and there is good cause for nationwide subpoenas, given that most witnesses are based on the West Coast.See attached file. ...
