Pork producers, Agri Stats denied summary judgment in US price-fixing case

( March 31, 2025, 22:33 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Tyson, JBS, other major US pork producers and agriculture industry data broker Agri Stats must face class-action price-fixing claims brought by pork buyers, a Minnesota federal judge ruled today. Genuine issues of material fact exist concerning whether the meatpackers and Agri Stats knowingly joined a price-fixing conspiracy and “there is ample evidence supporting the plausibility of Plaintiffs’ theory of conspiracy,” US District Judge John Tunheim said in an order filed in the District of Minnesota.
