Motorola hit with US PTAB reversal after director review

( March 28, 2025, 19:08 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: US Patent and Trademark Office Acting Director Coke Morgan Stewart reversed a decision by the Patent Trial and Appeal Board to institute four petitions for inter partes review brought by Motorola Solutions against Stellar. Stewart wrote in her director review decision that the board erred by not giving enough weight to the investment in the district court case. The move comes as USPTO leadership makes changes to the PTAB petition process that appear to make denials more likely.See attached file....
