Belvedere, Glenmorangie, Grey Goose counterfeiter penalized by Dutch court

In cases brought by Moët Hennessy, the Glenmorangie Company and Bacardi, The Hague District Court found Claymont Brands liable for importing and distributing counterfeit spirits to The Netherlands. Forensic testing showed the difference between the authentic and counterfeit products, the court said. In two separate cases, judges ordered the destruction of a total of nearly 113,000 of counterfeit bottles and fines totaling more than a million euros.Counterfeit bottles of Belvedere vodka and Glenmorangie whiskey produced by Claymont Brands must be destroyed, a Dutch court ruled in a judgment published today....
